How Liebherr Solves 4 Stubborn Kitchen Problems

You all know I like to cook right?  I have even blogged about some of my favorite recipes.  I find cooking relaxing.  Think yoga with calories.  Luckily it works for me.

Despite my deep vein of kitchen experience, I still have a few issues that need resolving.  Turns out that Designhounds' sponsor Liebherr, the refrigeration company, has the answers.

First, does anyone in the world know how to set the humidity for  their fruits and veggies in the fridge?  I sure as hell don't. Thankfully Liebherr does know, and they have made it super easy by developing "bio fresh" drawers.  You simply slide the lever to the picture showing what you want to store, and voila!  Your fruits, veggies and more will stay much fresher and retain all of their natural goodness longer.

Similarly, the stuff in my freezer can resemble miniature glaciers.  I have no idea how long you should keep frozen items.  Liebherr makes that easy too.  It's freezer compartments have pictures and a monthly deadline on them so you will never forget.  You only need remember to label your wrapped packages.....

My third and fourth issues both stem from my now small kitchen space. My Montauk kitchen was always tiny and can't be enlarged because of an annoying staircase location.  When I lived in the suburbs this didn't matter so much,  but now that I said good bye to the big suburban house and moved to Manhattan, I gave up a very nice amenity--a wine cellar.  At present, we don't have proper wine storage anywhere. (Horrors!)  I can fix that however, because Liebherr has introduced a new wine fridge sized the same as a microwave and it holds 18 bottles.

Perfect for my downsized life.  Crisis resolved.

Finally, unlike all of the baths in the house, I have not remodeled my Montauk kitchen, mostly because I can't do much with it because of the aforementioned annoying staircase.  But I have a big problem there.  Guests know that one of my "House Rules" is to give the fridge and freezer doors an extra shove to close--they just don't work.  (If you remember to do this, you get invited back. Bonus points also go to visitors who use the outside shower. #tips).

I have scoured the market looking for a freestanding fridge to replace the faulty one that came with the house.  I have been unable to find one that works until Joseph (you might remember Joseph from the smoking breadsticks incident, but he also is one fine brand ambassador) demonstrated a Liebherr freestanding model in Milan that only opens to 90 degrees.

As soon as I get to the beach house, I am measuring up.  I think it will do the trick.

I love these solutions.  There is a Liebherr refrigerator in my future, and I hope you consider the brand too.

This post is in collaboration with Liebherr, but as always,  all opinions are my own.   Thanks for supporting the brands that make my continued blogging adventures possible.
